Copper Sulfate Reference Electrodes ENES-RE
PSS-ENES-RE are used in cathodic protection systems to measure the potentials of a structure to be protected from corrosion destruction and the effectiveness of an electrochemical protection system.
Intended Use
The permanent copper / copper sulfate (Cu / CuSO4) reference electrodes are designed to measure the polarization potential and potential of an underground structure relative to the electrode. It is used as a separate product, as well as in a complex of automatic maintenance of a given potential difference. Measurement with a copper / copper sulfate electrode ENES-RE-1 is carried out by mobile or stationary control and measuring devices.
Description
The potential difference is measured by creating an electrolytic connection. The electrolyte is located inside the device body and is protected from leakage by means of special ion-exchange membranes, due to which reliable contact is also ensured. They are installed in the ground with conductors leading to test post (KIP) or carpet, as well as systems for automatic control and regulation of the operating mode of electrochemical protection installations.
The potential sensor installed on the product enables the use of the ENES-RE-1\2 non-polarizable electrode as an element of the automatic transformer rectifier: it transmits the indicators and the station parameters are automatically controlled.
The ENES-RE-1 electrode consists of a plastic case filled with a gel-like electrolyte, a copper rod with a conductor, an ion-exchange membrane, and a sensor. To protect an ion-exchange membrane, a grill is installed in the lower part.
Modification 1M means that the electrode is packed in a cloth bag.
The ENES-RE-2 electrode (ENES-RE-1MS-2) has two ion-exchange membranes or one thickened membrane.
The product is supplied ready for use, no additional accessories or electrolyte filling are required.
