High Voltage Distribution Cabinet
The PSS-HVDC High Voltage Distribution Cabinet is created to receive three-phase current energy with a frequency of 50 Hz at a nominal voltage of 6 (10) kV, transform it into a nominal voltage of 0.23 (0.4) kV and distribute it over power grids. with solidly grounded neutral for cathodic protection rectifiers and automatic reinforced drainage stations.
Intended Use
The PSS-HVDC High Voltage Distribution Cabinet is created to receive three-phase current energy with a frequency of 50 Hz at a nominal voltage of 6 (10) kV, transform it into a nominal voltage of 0.23 (0.4) kV and distribute it over power grids. with solidly grounded neutral for cathodic protection rectifiers and automatic reinforced drainage stations.
The device is manufactured in moderate, moderately cold climate and cold climatic versions. It is intended for permanent outdoor installation. The use of the unit contributes to the reliable stable operation of the equipment, regardless of the influence of atmospheric and climatic factors.
The High Voltage Distribution Cabinet provides placement of composite equipment for converting high voltage 6 or 10 kV from power lines into low voltage 0.23 or 0.4 (± 10%) kV. The cathodic protection device is equipped with the transformer rectifier, which can protect several items at the same time. The device is generally equipped with protective equipment, an electric energy meter and a socket.
Additionally, at the customer's request, the High Voltage Distribution Cabinet can be equipped with a telemechanic system, alarm devices (door opening sensors connected or not connected to the telemechanic system), Diode-Resistor Blocks BDR (M), Emergency Redundancy Units BAR, Heavy-Duty Drainage Protection Devices (SAUD), heating systems and other equipment.
The total power of the transformer rectifier and other low-voltage equipment located in the device shell shall not exceed the rated power of the high-voltage power transformer.
The High Voltage Distribution Cabinet is completed with a single-phase transformer of the OMP or OMG type. At the request of the Customer, the device can be equipped with a three-phase transformer of the oil-filled waterproofed type. The device has the ability to manually and automatically control the protective potential.
Depending on the seismicity of the location area, they can be manufactured in three versions:
- Non-earthquake-resistant (С0)
- Earthquake-resistant (С)
- Increased earthquake-resistant (IER) for areas with seismicity up to 10 degrees inclusive
