Description
The P-ROM short-circuited sacrificial anode is designed for corrosion protection of the underwater part of steel and aluminum hulls of ships, oil drilling rigs, oil and gas pipelines, oil sedimentation tanks.
According to the operating conditions, periodic shutdown of the sacrificial cathodic protection is required.
The sacrificial anodes are made by casting into metal molds or water-cooled molds.
The operating principle of sacrificial cathodic protection is to create a protective potential when current flows in a galvanic pair of a structure-sacrificial anode.
In the structure-sacrificial anode chain, the sacrificial anode is the anode, and the structure is the cathode. The current flowing from the sacrificial anode enters the structure and suppresses or limits the action of corrosive elements on its surface, and, consequently, prevents corrosive destruction of the structure.
