Purpose of Zinc Pipe Sacrificial Anodes P-BTTs
The band-type pipe sacrificial anodes protect underwater parts of pipe structures intended for operation in climatic zones P9-P11 in accordance with GOST 16350 against corrosion. The stationary potential of the anode along the normal hydrogen electrode is not less than 900 mV, the operational potential is not less than 850 mV.Design features of a band zinc sacrificial anode
P-BTTs are made of zinc alloy; primary aluminum of grade A85 GOST 11069, zinc grade Ts1 GOST 3640 are used for the preparation of a tread alloy. The frame, consisting of reinforcement, is made of steel strip (grade St3) and has a zinc topcoat. A 20 × 4 mm strip was used as a material for longitudinal reinforcement in accordance with GOST 103-76. On the unload sides of the sacrificial anode, an insulating coating made of epoxy putty GOST 28379-89 is applied in two layers. During the operating process the zinc sacrificial anode (anode), as a more negative one, will be oxidized, i.e. dissolve by sending excess electrons to the protected steel pipe (cathode).Specifications
