Purpose of the Copper Sulfate Reference Electrode ENES-4
The non-polarizable reference electrode ENES - 4 is designed to measure the polarization potential and underground structure potential relative to the electrode by creating an electrolytic contact with the ground in circuits for determining the effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection of underground metal structures, as well as in systems for automatic control and regulation of the operating mode of cathodic protection installations. The measuring devices are connected to copper sulfate electrodes to calculate the polarization potential. Through the use of the obtained values, the required potential difference at the protected object is maintained.Description of the electrodes ENES-4\4M
It consists of an electrolytic chamber, filled with electrolyte and a chamber filled with a bentonite mixture between which there is a membrane and a diaphragm, a copper rod connected by a cable with a tip and a potential sensor.During installation, the plane of the potential sensor shall be perpendicular to the axis of the pipeline, and the lateral surface of the pipeline should be free from defects in insulation.
Reference electrodes ENES-4M are supplied in bags with stabilizing filler.

Sealed two-piece casing, shockproof.Due to design features, the electrode remains operational regardless of its position in the ground, but the best position is with the membrane upwards, which increases the service life of the product.
Enes-4M is immersed in a bag with hygroscopic filler, thanks to which it works perfectly even in dry periods.
We complete it with a cable at the request of the customer.
It is approved for use at the facilities of Transneft, PJSC Gazprom PJSC, Gazprom Gas Distribution.
In addition to modification: ENES-4M - stationary long-acting, ESMS - non-polarizable. The PSS Corporation catalog contains copper sulfate electrodes MSED, MSE, ESMS.
