The automatic rectifier V-OPE is designed to protect underground structures subject to corrosion — pipelines, reservoirs located in neutral and aggressive soils. The equipment also protects against damage by stray currents, common when the object is close to the railway track.

Description
The single-phase AC rectifier naturally ventilated V-OP is designed for electrochemical (cathodic) protection of underground metal structures (gas pipelines, oil pipelines, utilities, etc.) from electrochemical corrosion.
The V-OPE rectifier, in addition to its main purpose, can be used as a DC power source in various processes with the required large variability of the output parameters of the rectifier, as well as for the implementation of auto-regulation schemes. For example, battery charging, galvanic processes, control (power supply) of DC motors, etc.
The automatic rectifier V-OPE can work both independently and as part of protective complexes with remote control (telemetry).
Construction features
The rectifier is made in a rectangular metal case with a lockable door. The lock is protected from dust and water penetration.
The block design of the rectifier facilitates maintenance and allows you to repair individual units in stationary conditions. For diagnostics and repair, convenient access to the rectifier elements is provided, due to the use of rotary (folding) circuit boards and panels in the design.
A distinctive feature of the rectifier is the presence of a backup control and power supply unit (BRP), which allows in the absence of a control unit (for example, repair, etc.) in manual control mode to protect the object with a backup protective potential.
Type of execution
V-OP with analog control unit
V-OP-C with digital control unit
V-OP-C provides a higher informative indicator of the operating modes of the converter control unit and an intuitive setup menu. When ordering equipment with the function of recording to an SD card, it becomes possible to record the converter parameters (input voltage, output voltage, output current, protective and polarization potentials), unauthorized access signals, emergency situations and other signals to a removable SD memory card with a capacity of up to 2 GB. The duration of continuous data recording on the card is at least 10 years.
Modes of operation of the rectifier
1) Automatic maintenance of the measured potential difference at a given level in the range of values from minus 0.5V to minus 3.5 V;
2) Automatic maintenance of the protective current (stabilization of the output current);
3) In manual setting of output voltage (current);
4) Uncontrolled rectifier;
5) Adjustable rectifier;
6) Adjustable output current (voltage) stabilizer;
7) Cyclic interruption of the load current, for measuring the polarization potential, by signals from the telemechanics system or from the built-in timer.
Telemetry in V-OP
The rectifiers can be connected to various telemechanics systems for remote control and monitoring:
- the values of the measured potential difference, output voltage, output current;
- cumulative accounting of electricity consumed;
- remote installation of the protective potential (in the automatic mode of maintaining the protective potential);
- remote installation of the protective current (in the automatic mode of stabilization of the protective current);
- remote setting of the output voltage of the rectifier (in manual mode - setting the output voltage);
- unauthorized access inside the rectifier.
The rectifier can be supplied complete with telemetry:
- AUKZ-2.M1 – control is carried out via the "current loop" interface 4-20 mA;
- AUKZ-2.M2 – control is carried out via the RS-485 interface "ModBus RTU";
- AUKZ-2.M3 – control is carried out via the interface "current loop" or RS-485;
- AUKZ-2. GSM (AUKZ-GSM-GPRS-RS-485) – control is carried out via GSM/GPRS channel.
The V-OP rectifier is adapted to the main telemetry systems: "UNK-TM", "Magistral2", "STN-3000", "SupeRTU4", "SCAT", "ELSI-2000", "TELUR".
