System Configuration
For one sea chest:
- Multi-channel DC source (power supply), allowing control of the System from the ship's bridge or control station, supporting the RS485 protocol
- Copper and aluminum anodes are an effective combination that prevents the proliferation of organisms while simultaneously providing corrosion protection
- An iron anode is used instead of an aluminum anode in cases where the ship's pipes are made of copper-nickel alloy
The sizes of the anodes depend on the capacity of the seawater intake pumps. They are always installed in pairs in the sea chest ahead of the pipe outlet by yourself or by the supplier's certified specialist.

It is designed to ionize seawater with copper ions to terminate the vital functions of aquatic organisms and prevent their reproduction. Aluminum anodes provide a flocculation effect and create a gel-like film of aluminum hydroxide with copper ions.

Operation
The operating principle of MGPS is based on the electrolytic method. Copper anodes generate ions that create an unfavorable environment for the settlement and reproduction of mollusks, mussels, algae, and others. Ions produced by the aluminum anode enhance the action of copper ions through the flocculation of released copper. As a result, a copper-aluminum film forms on the pipe walls, which serves as corrosion protection.
