DC Voltage Measurement Module

The modules are intended for converting measurement signals of DC voltage that characterize the values of total and polarization potentials of underground metal structures, the output voltage and current of cathodic protection stations (CPS), and the number of output pulses from an electric energy meter. The measured data must be transmitted via RS-485 or CAN interface.

The modules comply with the requirements of TU 26.51.43-088-73892839-2018, and with design documentation. They are used as part of the measuring unit of cathodic protection power supplies.

Main Features and Advantages

Capability to measure the following parameters: 1) Output voltage of the station (Uout) in the range 0…100 V
2) Output current of the station (Iout) using a connected measuring shunt in the range 0…75 mV
3) Total and polarization potential (Utp and Upp) on the pipe in the range -5…+5 V
4) Pulse input for connection of an electricity meter

  • Compact dimensions, with the option for DIN-rail mounting
  • Compatible with shunts of any nominal value
  • Module supply voltage: 12 V, current consumption: 0.1 A
  • Equipped with digital interfaces RS-485 or CAN for transmitting measured values
  • The metrologically significant software is hard-coded in the module’s microcontroller and is not accessible to the user
  • The software protection against accidental or intentional modifications complies with the medium level defined in R 50.2.077-2014
  • Enclosure protection rating against environmental impacts (penetration of solid objects and water) and contact with live parts: IP20
  • Designed service life: at least 20 years
  • The module uses a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC)
  • Type approval certificate available for the measuring instrument
