Polarization Cell w/ Liquid-State Electrolyte

The polarization cell is created for direct current (D.C.) decoupling of equipment under cathodic protection from the electrical equipment grounding system.

SP-RA-1 Polarization Cell with liquid electrolyte (polarization cell replacement) is designed for DC decoupling of equipment under cathodic protection from the electrical equipment grounding system.
Purpose of the polarization cell replacement
• overvoltage protection of insulated joints;
• AC induced voltage suppression;
• blocking of parasitic AC voltage;
• providing permanent AC grounding at DC decoupling of structures under cathodic protection;
• providing DC decoupling of equipment with cathodic protection from grounding of the public power system;
• provision of equipment protection in case of lightning strike and transient processes of the CP system.

The SP-RA-1 Polarization System consists of an electrolytic chamber filled with liquid electrolyte and electrodes made of a special alloy; connection terminals and a valve with a cap are installed in the upper part of the system.

The SP-RA-1-V housing is made in an explosion-proof design, resistant to the negative effects of the environment and various chemicals, including vapors of hydrochloric acid and hydrogen sulfide. Housing material - aluminum alloy without copper. The housing sealing system has a labyrinth shape and provides a degree of protection against external influences of at least IP66.
