Silver/Silver Chloride Reference Electrode

The Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) Reference Electrode is created to measure the potential of metal marine structures and ships with an ohmic component and without an ohmic component (protective potentials) in circuits when determining the effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection

Intended Use

The Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) Reference Electrode PSS-ESHS-S and its modifications are designed to measure the potential of metal structures with an ohmic component and without an ohmic component (protective potentials) in circuits when determining the effectiveness of anti-corrosion protection of metal structures, as well as in automatic control and regulation systems operation of cathodic protection installations.

Electrodes are installed on ships, vessels and floating crafts operated in unlimited navigation areas, on river vessels, ice-strengthened vessels and icebreakers, as well as part of projects for cathodic protection of hydraulic structures, tanks, underground steel structures.

Description

The electrode is a housing made of polymeric material, a silver chloride element is installed in the housing, one side of which is brought out, on the other side of the electrode there is a cable outlet.
For operation on ice-strengthened ships and icebreakers, the electrodes are supplied installed in a cofferdam.
The cofferdam is a cylindrical steel sealed casing with a wall thickness of at least 10 mm, equipped with a connector for a connecting cable and mounting points for fastening an electrode.

Modifications

PSS-ESHS-S is intended for stationary installation at ships, vessels and floating crafts operated in unlimited navigation areas.
PSS-ESHS-S installed in the cofferdam is intended for stationary installation at ships and ice-reinforced floating craft and icebreakers.
PSS-ESHS-S-1 is used for stationary installation and as a portable reference electrode.
PSS-ESHS-SR is intended for stationary installation on piles.

The electrodes comply with the requirements of the International Association of Classification Societies and are applicable to electrical equipment installed in the systems of cathodic protection and corrosion monitoring of ships, hydraulic structures, reservoirs, underground steel structures.
