Intended use
Protection of ports and quays with sacrificial anodes is a traditional solution. The sacrificial anodes are recommended to be used to protect the underwater part of the hulls of docking fleet vessels, vessels during the completion of construction afloat, floating docks, port cranes, cables, sheet pile walls, offshore oil racks, derricks, pipelines and other metal structures, constantly or periodically operated in seawater, against corrosion.
Description
Non-disconnectable single sacrificial anodes with ballast resistance P-NOTs are designed to protect the internal surfaces of tanks and vessels from corrosion. The sacrificial anodes are efficient, maintenance-free and do not require power supply. Installation and renewal of sacrificial cathodic protection does not cause any difficulties in the construction of ships and during their repair. Basically, its service life can be set in any way, depending on a number of sacrificial anodes. By changing the material and size of the sacrificial anodes, protection can be provided in almost all sea areas. All manufactured types of anodes are made of zinc alloys in accordance with the International Association of Classification Societies.
Sacrificial anode cathodic protection is a type of cathodic protection. A more electronegative metal is attached to the protected structure - a sacrificial anode - which, dissolving in the environment, protects the main structure from destruction. After complete dissolution of the sacrificial anode or loss of contact with the protected structure, the sacrificial anode shall be replaced.
