Test Station w/ Embedded CP Separator Unit
Intended Use
KIP.PSS Test Station with the CP Separator Unit is intended for connecting cathodic protection devices and monitoring cathodic protection parameters.
The CP Separator Unit joint protection unit with smooth current regulation, built-in electronic indication means, is designed to simultaneously protect up to 4 unrelated underground metal structures from corrosion and eliminate the influence of separate protection installations on adjacent communications. The unit works in conjunction with a rectifier and provides cathodic protection of structures by setting the protection current for each of the objects, depending on the state of their insulation.
The blocks can also be used as polarized drainage.
It can be installed at the points of intersection, as well as the convergence of pipelines, the intersection of pipelines with highways and railways, including the intersection of pipeline routes, armored cable, and the installation of insulating inserts on pipelines.
Operation Principles
The unit is placed in the KIP rack, which is a rack made of a square tube with a terminal panel.
The design of the rack is made of polymer non-combustible material and has a low weight. Information labels are applied on the surface of the rack at the request of the customer.
To indicate the channel current values, a digital built-in DC ammeter is installed, turned on by pressing a button on the control panel.
A potentiometer is installed on the unit to smoothly change the channel current.
